Lisa Baker
​
Lisa Santone Baker brings extensive experience and deep expertise to the sport of softball, having been actively involved at nearly every level as an
athlete, coach, and official. From 1997 to 2001, Lisa attended Dickinson College, where she was
recruited as the starting pitcher for the softball team. During her collegiate career, she established numerous individual and team records, earned consistent All-Conference honors, and achieved national recognition, ranking fifth in the nation in 1997. That season, her individual records included:

Lisa was selected as one of fourteen athletes nationwide to compete with USA Athletes International, spending two weeks traveling and playing softball throughout Belgium and the Netherlands. Competition ranged from local club teams to elite international opponents, including the Belgian National Team. In 2006, she was again selected this time as one of sixteen athletes to represent World Sports International, touring Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and England over a three-week period. Beyond her playing career, Lisa has coached softball at every level, including collegiate, high school, tournament, and recreational programs. She has also
served as an umpire for PIAA, USA Softball, and USSSA, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the sport from multiple perspectives. Lisa holds a Master of Education in Sports Management with a dual
concentration in Coaching and Management from Millersville University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sports Performance Psychology at Grand Canyon University. Her dissertation focuses on fear of failure in athletes, and she aspires to write a book centered on resilience and coping with adversity in sport.

One of Lisa’s greatest accomplishments was winning the 2022 Sport York Playmaker Award in honor and recognition of the 50th anniversary of Title IX. She was voted on by the local community and young ladies whose lives she has impacted. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Lisa enjoys spending time with her 17-year-old identical twin sons, who compete in football and
baseball at Central York High School.
